As Interim Chief Executive Officer, Ken brings to the organization significant experience in healthcare leadership including roles in the Erie St Clair Region. He has held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Hotel Dieu Grace in Windsor and St. Joseph’s Health Centre in Toronto. Most recently Ken served as Interim Chief Executive Officer at Leamington District Memorial Hospital. Ken has a large breadth of leadership experience having previously served as an Assistant Deputy Minister at the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care and as a Hospital Supervisor under the Public Hospitals Act.

As President and Chief Executive Officer, Lori brings to the organization over 15 years of progressive leadership experience in Ontario’s acute and community care sectors, and a reputation as a patient-centred strategist with a track record of addressing complex issues through a shared vision and knowledge of the community and region. This is Lori’s third appointment as CEO, the first being in 2005 for Nipigon District Memorial Hospital and in 2014 for the Erie St. Clair Community Care Access Centre. She has served as Vice President at two hospitals including Oshawa General Hospital and Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, where she held the positions of VP Patient Care before being promoted to Executive Vice President, Strategy, Performance and Aboriginal Health.
Lori is a Registered Pharmacist with the Ontario College of Pharmacists and a Certified Health Executive with the Canadian College of Health Leaders. She holds a Health Leadership Certificate from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management and a Masters in Health Administration from the University of Ottawa. Lori has a rich history of community service and has been active on many boards and committees at the provincial and local levels.

As Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Jerome brings to the organization many years of senior administrative leadership experience. He has most recently held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Wellington Health Care Alliance for nine years, as well as previously serving as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for sixteen years.
Jerome is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA-CA) along with a Bachelor of Business/Commerce degree from the University of Windsor and received his Masters of Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management from Regis University.
In his role, his goals include championing health care needs of the community, while achieving corporate goals as defined at the board level. Jerome also believes in empowering people by helping to define success and providing the tools to attain that success.

As Vice President and Chief Nursing Executive (Interim), Lisa is responsible for Emergency Services, Intensive & Progressive Care, Medicine, Rehabilitation, Complex Continuing Care, Surgery, Women & Children’s, Mission, Quality, Inter-professional Practice and Infection Prevention & Control. Lisa brings to this position a solid knowledge of CKHA having worked here for 29 years, a successful track record of working in partnership and teamwork with physicians and other professional staff and, above all, a deep and profound commitment to staff and the provision of multi-disciplinary quality care.
Lisa is a Registered Nurse with a Master's degree in Nursing and has held numerous positions in the organization including staff nurse, professional practice leader, nursing unit manager, and most recently Director of Quality, Effectiveness and Inter-professional Practice. Lisa is passionate about building a workplace culture that promotes engagement and a true partnership between staff and physicians that fosters a shared ownership for the organization’s success.

As Vice President, Debbie is responsible for the employee services and labour relations, occupational health & safety, and, system integration and partnerships. Born and raised in Chatham, Debbie is from a large family and is a life-long resident of Chatham-Kent. She has worked at the Alliance and its predecessor hospitals for her entire career spanning over 40 years and holds a Certified Human Resource Professional designation and a Certified Human Resource Leader designation with the Human Resources Professional Association and has been a member of the HRPA since its inception. She has supported many phases of amalgamation and reorganization, and has successfully implemented multiple restructuring initiatives and operating plan changes with minimal impact to employees, while ensuring operational efficiency across the organization. Debbie has been a member of countless negotiation committees both locally and provincially with the Ontario Hospital Association central negotiations. As Chief Negotiator for the Alliance for 4 bargaining units, she has been successful in reaching voluntary settlements in numerous rounds of bargaining.
Responsible for the successful implementation of a Human Resources Information System, including Personnel Module, Attendance Management, Self Service Modules for employees and managers, e-Recruit and Staff Scheduling Modules, Debbie together with her team revitalized the Human Resources Department. In recent years, she also oversaw the successful introduction and implementation of a Centralized Staffing Resource Office for nursing units.
Dr. Pervez Faruqi
Chief Of Staff
As Chief of Staff, Dr. Faruqi’s top priorities are to improve the quality of medical care and patient experience at CKHA. He brings to the role significant leadership and professional experience and a strong desire to support quality of care, improved patient experiences and work with administration to strengthen the organization.
Dr. Faruqi has been a consultant Paediatrician at CKHA since 2010 and has held the role of Chief of Paediatrics since 2013. Prior to that he practiced medicine in Nova Scotia for five years at the Guysborough, Antigonish and Strait Health Authority (GASHA), where he chaired the Quality Review Committee. Before moving to Canada, Dr. Faruqi practiced medicine in the United States for seven years where in addition to several recognitions for teaching he won America’s Top Pediatrician, 2004-2005.
Since 2010, Dr. Faruqi has also been an Adjunct Professor of Paediatrics at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, Western University. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to learning and education, including having been a lead preceptor and supervisor for both medical and nursing students.

In her role as Director, Communications, Fannie is responsible for planning, implementing and facilitating internal and external communications and community relations strategies that support CKHA’s Mission, Vision, Values and strategic priorities. Fannie previously spent six years in the Medical Affairs Department at CKHA where she held the role of Medical Recruiter and Education Coordinator.
Fannie holds a BA in Political Science from Western University and a post-graduate certificate in Public Relations and Corporate Communications from Fanshawe College. She is truly passionate about living and working in Chatham-Kent and is actively involved in many community organizations and initiatives. She is one of the founding members of TEDx Talks Chatham-Kent, a Chatham-Kent Public Library Board Member, past President of the Rotary Club of Chatham and past Chair of Culture Factory.

Zoja Holman is currently the Director of Corporate Transformation at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA). In this new role, Zoja supports the CEO and Supervisor as they lead the organization through a period of significant change in areas of governance, culture, performance management and community relations. Zoja previously held the position of Director of Communications and Organizational Development at CKHA, a role which included Strategic Planning and Volunteer Services. Prior to joining the hospital, she worked for several healthcare organizations across the region.
Zoja holds a Bachelor of Arts from Acadia University, a Post-Graduate Certificate in Public Relations from Humber College and a Masters in Public Administration from Western University.

Her administrative leadership is instrumental in achieving the Mission, Vision and Values of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance in support of best governance practice for the Alliance Board of Directors, Board Committees, and Executive Leadership Council.
